Q:  What year was the warehouse built and what type of construction was used?

 

A:  Our Houston warehouse was constructed using concrete tilt-wall and was built in four different phases.  The earliest development was in 1976 and since then the next three rooms were added on in succession in 1981, 1986 and 1991.

 

Q:  Is the warehouse 100% sprinklered?

 

A:  Yes, our entire warehouse is protected by our pressurized wet-system sprinklers that have been recently upgraded and receive regular maintenance.

 

Q:  Do you have emergency services available?

 

A:  Yes, we offer 24 hour emergency services with weekend and night deliveries available as well.

 

Q:  Does the warehouse offer any kind of trucking or transportation services?

 

A:  Yes, Southern Worldwide offers a full line of logistic services including container drayage from the port and the rail yard.  We also provide truckload and LTL shipments by flatbed, van or bobtail for our customers.

 

Q:  Is the warehouse food grade?

 

A:  Yes, we are a food grade warehouse and we have a designated room where we store all of our food customers together.

 

Q:  How much space do you have available?

 

A:  As much as you need!  We are accustomed to taking on additional space as needed, whether it means opening up a new building or acquiring temporary storage, depending on our customers’ needs at the time.  

 

Q:  How long have you been in business?

 

A:  Southern was founded in 1937 and has continued to build upon its last 70 years of customer satisfaction and proven reliability.
